SUBJECT TO CHANGE:  the current regatta schedule is https://www.regattacentral.com/regatta/heat_sheet.jsp?job_id=4745&org_id=510

WAIVER:

This regatta requires the annual USRowing online waiver.  If your rower is missing the waiverI will email you directly tomorrow (thursday) to sign the online waiver

LOCATION - The Halifax Boathouse

201 City Island Parkway
Daytona Beach, FL

A map of the race venue is available online: https://www.regattacentral.com/regatta/venue.jsp?job_id=4745&org_id=510

Rowers will be racing toward the finish line bridge (E. Orange Ave).  It is our understanding that the bridge is currently under consruction and not open to foot traffic.  The regatta is working on alternate viewing.

Trailer parking, tents, etc will be at the courthouse (shares parking lot with the boathouse)

HOSPITALITY:
To keep the regatta fee to as low as possible, we will not be providing lunch/hospitality for this regatta.  PLEASE bring a refillable water bottle and lunch/snacks for rowers.

RECOMMENDED snacks for rowers: Frozen water bottle (to melt throughout the day), water melon, grapes, oranges, etc.  Any fruit with water will help with hydration AND recovery after racing.

We will have water coolers and ice at the regatta for rowers.

EXTRA SHADE NEEDED!  If you have a 10x10 popup tent, please bring it to help add to the available shade for SORA rowers and supporters.  We will bring the SORA tents, but so that all SORA rowers and spectators can be under shade, please bring a tent if you have one!

Vendors will be on site selling food and regatta shirts.

RACE UNIFORM:
Rowers should wear something SORA!  Rowers recieved their tank on Tuesday.  If they did not, contact coach katie.

Additionally, please bring flipflops/water shoes/crocs, etc.  The dock is VERY hot so slip on shoes can go in the boat with rowers.  Also, there will be some water launching or recovery so water shoes/crocs/flipflops are the preferred footwear for this regatta.

SUNSCREEN, hats and sunglasses are a must for this regatta.

Please contact katie@soracrew.com directly with any additional questions.  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!!
