Election Results
Last night we had our board elections for 2018 and the new board was unanimously approved.
President - Phil Murphy
1st VP - Lori Varro
2nd VP - Mike Cogen
Treasurer - Mike Shea
Secretary - Kelly Hagan
They will start their term on January 1st. Thank you to outgoing board members Ron Yelland (Treasurer) and Sarah Miller (Secretary) for your outstanding service to SORA.
Fundraising Success
So far we've had two spirit nights bringing in nearly $800. Thank you to all who came to McDonald's and Chipolte to support our cause. That money is going towards funding some new sculling oars and improving our launch motors.
High School End of Year Awards Ceremony
We're currently looking for high school parents (Freshman-Junior) to form a committee to plan our end of year ceremony to be held on May 25th (Venue TBD). Our Senior parents will contribute but we'd like to start a new tradition of them being able to enjoy this last awards ceremony without having to plan it.
